5 Reasons To Pray Even If You’re Not A Prayer Warrior
Pray without ceasing. -1 Thessalonians 5:17
Are You A Prayer Warrior?
Have you seen these Christians that pray at the drop of a hat? I mean, someone says their mom has dementia, their baby is not feeling well, or their husband is looking for a new job, and these prayer warriors bow their heads, lift a hand to the sky, and start praying right there in front of everyone–and out loud, too!
These people are gifted. God has given them the supernatural ability to pray for others. Not everyone has the grace to pray like a prayer warrior, but all of us have the grace to pray because it’s how we communicate with our Father. It’s a special privilege.
5 Reasons to Be a Better Prayer Even If You Aren’t A Pray Warrior (Yet)
1) Jesus prayed–often Jesus went away by Himself to pray -Matthew 14:23, Luke 6:12, Mark 1:35, Luke 5:16
2) Jesus taught His disciples to pray–The disciples saw that Jesus had a special connection with God and wanted Him to teach them to pray -Matthew 6:5-14
3) Some things will not happen if we don’t pray–Jesus requested that His disciples pray that the Father would send laborers because many people were lost -Matthew 9:35-38
4) Our compassion grows when we pray–when we are praying for others, our heart begins to knit with theirs -Galatians 6:2, Ephesians 6:18
5) Praying blesses us–special things happen when we pray -Romans 8:26, 1 Timothy 2:1-4, James 5:14-16
