God’s Faithfulness

The Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness -Exodus 34:6 (ESV)

In this crazy world, there is one thing that remains unchanged-God’s faithfulness. The Bible tells us that God never changes (Numbers 23:19). He is the same today as He was yesterday and will be the same tomorrow (Hebrews 13:8). However, to say He is unchanging does not mean He is predictable. No one knows the mind of God, but we do know the character of God.

God Is Faithful

God Is Faithful In His Promises -Hebrews 10:23

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

God Is Faithful In His Provision -Psalm 111:2-8

He provides food for those who fear Him; He remembers His covenant forever. (v.5)

God Is Faithful In His Protection -Psalm 31:3-5

For You are my rock and my fortress…(v.3a)

God Is Faithful In His Plans -Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not evil, to give you a future and a hope.

God Is Faithful In Posterity -Psalm 119:89-90

Your faithfulness endures to all generations…

God Is Faithful In Answering Our Prayers -Psalm 143:1-2

Hear my prayer, O Lord; give ear to my pleas for mercy! (v. 1)

So when the world seems to be spiraling out of control, remember that God isn’t.
